Beth Maslen

Beth Maslen is a Naarm (Melbourne)-based artist originally from Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia. Working across sculpture and photography, her practice engages familiar objects and materials to generate poetic alternatives to existing frameworks of understanding. Found and domestic objects are transformed from familiar references into structures that question utility and ornamentation. Her installations balance form and fragility in both materiality and comprehension.

Beth holds a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) from Monash University, where she received the Sue Rose Award, Sutton Gallery award and was a finalist in Hatched: National Graduate Show, PICA (2021). In 2024, she received support from the Ian Potter Cultural Trust. Recent solo exhibitions include Handbags at Conners Conners (2025) and Maternal Figures, at Animal House Fine Arts (2024). Recent group exhibitions include, New World Order, Minerva (2026), I heart Lizzy, Neon Parc (2025), People always leave things on the street for each other, Animal House Fine Arts (2025); and MATERIAL, Anna Schwartz Gallery (2024).
