200 Gertrude Street
200 Gertrude Street, FitzroyThis is a collection of work from the past three to four years. I receive quite specific ideas and pictures in my head, and I am interested in depicting these ideas as they are.
Here is a display, a peeling back of skin to see what is underneath. Drawing these sensations makes them external. Pretty soon you have a whole collection of sensations on your desk. Some are obvious, some are not. I try to understand things in this way. And sometimes, it is the sheer amusement of creating your own hybrid world. Sometimes, this is a conscious method. Mostly, however, it is not. And then I'm in for a big surprise!
