Jensen Tjhung's new body of work explored variations on black and grey paintings using cement, bitumen, acid, oxide and other chemicals on paper. At various stages of disintegration, these works study the alchemy of black paintings and refer to the artist's ongoing enquiries into belief, non-belief and the sub-suburban void.
